B.U.I.L.D ALL-STARS Tournament 2024

On the 17th and 18th of August 2024, B.U.I.L.D Sports Africa proudly hosted the inaugural B.U.I.L.D All-Star Basketball Tournament in collaboration with the Nairobi County League. This event not only showcased the immense talent of young athletes but also highlighted the importance of mental health and personal development in sports. Team Experience and Stingers emerged as the champions in the boys’ and girls’ categories, respectively.

Beyond the competition, the tournament provided an exclusive preview of a new online platform aimed at giving coaches worldwide access to players’ bio information and stats—an essential tool for expanding young athletes’ opportunities. With the support of the ALL-Africa team, we centralized player data, offering these promising talents a broader stage to showcase their abilities.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our partners who made this event a success, including Proactive Physiotherapy, The Good Company, Oye Kenya, Amache Water, Woopy Sport, and the Nairobi County League. This tournament was more than just a game; it was a pivotal step in shaping the future of basketball in Kenya. 

B.U.I.L.D ALL Tournament 2023

On the 26th and 27th of August 2023, B.U.I.L.D Sports Africa hosted its first “B.U.I.L.D” tournament, B.U.I.L.D ALL U23, that served as a platform to raise awareness about mental health among athletes. In partnership with the Far East Basketball Association (FEBA), we provided invaluable education centered around mental health and ways to ask for help. Overall, this tournament ended remarkably, with 6 girls teams and 14 boys team competing. As a direct result of this platform, four girls and three boys earned significant scholarships to pursue higher education in Kenya and abroad.

B.U.I.L.D YABLON Tournament 2023

From January 7th to January 21st 2023, B.U.I.L.D Sports Africa sponsored and ran its first youth basketball tournament. YABLON, shirt for Young African Basketball League of Nations, was a tournament geared towards empowering the youth through sports and demonstrating the ways in which sports can teach key skills involved in BUILDing a successful career.
